I am a PhD researcher in Micro and Nanoscale Systems at Louisiana Tech University, where I serve as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Laboratory for Photonic Research on Innovative Sensing and Monitoring (PRISM Lab) under the supervision of Dr. Fengfeng Zhou. My research focuses on photonics, fiber-optic sensing, and optical monitoring systems.
My work involves the computational design and analysis of photonic crystal fibers, surface plasmon resonance sensors, and plasmonic biosensors. Using COMSOL Multiphysics, I investigate how device geometry and material properties influence sensor performance for chemical, biochemical, and biomedical applications.
I hold a B.Sc. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) and an M.Sc. in Biomedical Physics & Technology, with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering, from the University of Dhaka. My experience includes university teaching, photonic device modeling, and the application of machine learning and deep learning to biomedical technologies.
At Louisiana Tech, my research interests center on integrating photonic and fiber-optic technologies with data-driven methods for real-time sensing and monitoring. I aim to contribute to optical measurement systems for advanced manufacturing and microscale applications, connecting computational research with practical engineering needs.
